Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to commonly asked questions about our classes and programs.

My dog is anxious/fearful/timid/reactive

Our custom designed training space means that most dogs with these problems can participate in our classes and programs. Our unique class format means that your dog will not need to be face to face with another dog or person unless by design.

If your dog is heavily affected by these issues in a way that impacts it’s ability to function and train, then it may be necessary for you to do some 1:1 coaching with a behavioral focus in order to then be able to participate in classes.

Can I buy casual passes for all classes?

Yes, depending on the class. Some of our class types only offer multiple class passes. You’ll usually find mention of the options under the relevant class type.

What if I arrive late to a class?

No problem – we’re all adults, and these things can happen! You’ll need to arrive on time for your first session, as you’ll need a little extra attention. If the class is running when you arrive you’ll need to orientate yourself to the running order, and ask a fellow participant to bring you up to speed with any info that you’ve missed.

Should it happen that there are no folks present at start time (despite being booked) we reserve the right to cancel that class session within 15min.

See – it’s all very reasonable…just like a group of adults should be when working together.

Do I need to bring food to class for training?

Yes, and we reference this in the documentation we provide you at time of booking. Flesh based food, not chewy, not raw meat, cut in smaller blocks is our starting point. Certain foods like loose chicken just isn’t workable in our venue, and leaves too much waste on the ground which forms a distraction for other dogs involved in the class.

Do I have to train every week?

We don’t set any rules on how often folks train – after all, we are all adults here. Those involved in more regular training and coaching are likely to get better results in a shorter period of time…but life can often get in the way, and there are many things more important in our worlds than making every dog training session.

Can I refund a class I forgot to attend?

If there’s a verifiable reason, or extraordinary circumstances, give us a buzz and we’ll try and work out a solution. But just because you forgot? Sorry muchacho, that’s a scheduling issue.

Is my dog too young for Attuned Play?

Not at all, learning to play is very important for dogs of all ages.

My dog doesn’t find food motivating – can I still train with you?

All dogs need to eat to live, and we’ve encountered but a handful of dogs that don’t find food a sufficient motivator for training once a few changes in management and feeding are actioned. It may take a little while for your dog to develop that work ethic, but most dogs come around.

Do I need any special equipment?

We provide some guidance on which basics to bring. A leash and collar is all most dogs start training with, and you’ll have the option of adding to or upgrading your gear as you move forward in your training journey. As a general rule if you think you may need it, bring it along.

Our full time indoor dog training facility is located at 5 Wadhurst Drive, Boronia VIC 3155.

We’re only about 1.1km from Westfield Knox Shopping Center, and easily accessible from suburbs like Mitcham, Ringwood, Vermont, Wantirna, Scoresby, Knoxfield, Bayswater, Boronia, Kilsyth, Mooroolbark and others.
